Newtown Office Lockdown Update
Following the government announcement that Wales will be going into a firebreak lockdown from 6:00pm on Friday 23rd October, we have made a couple of changes at our Newtown office.
Whilst you will appreciate we have not taken these decisions lightly, we have taken this decision to protect the wellbeing and safety of our clients and staff, who will continue to provide exceptional service to yourself via remote working from home.
How can I communicate with the Firm?
All of our staff will still be available by their usual email addresses and telephone numbers. Alternatively please call the office on 01686 626230 or email newtown@wrpartners.co.uk.
How can I send across my records?
Due to our offices being closed to clients, we have a number of methods of receiving your records electronically, these include e-mail, Sharefile and portal options. To ensure delivery and continuity of service, we recommend that you speak with your usual contact to confirm the best method to suit your purpose.
Where we are unable to receive your records electronically, you can drop off records via the post box to the rear of the building. In exceptional circumstances where records are unable to fit in the post box at the rear of the building you will have the ability to book a ‘click and drop’ slot. To book a slot, please call the office on 01686 626230 or email newtown@wrpartners.co.uk.
Given the guidance that only essential travel should be undertaken it is necessary to point out that the decision to visit and drop any records at the office lies solely with yourself. The Firm will not insist that records are physically dropped off.
During this period any outgoing client work and records will be sent electronically. If this is not achievable we will post your records or alternatively we can hold these until restrictions ease and it is possible to arrange a slot for you to collect.
Are client meetings taking place?
Due to the travel restrictions and strict guidance on how staff can interact with clients in person, face to face meetings will unfortunately not take place, in our office or at client’s premises. With this in mind, all face to face client meetings and client record collection/drop offs that have been pre-arranged during this period will be postponed or adapted to allow to use of Zoom/telephone. Our team will be in contact with you in due course if you are affected by this.
How long will the measures be in place?
The current Firebreak lockdown will be in force by the Welsh Government until the start of Monday 9th November 2020. To allow the Firm time to process any new guidance that is issued on the 9th November 2020, the above measures will remain in place for the Firm until at least Tuesday 10th November.
