Postponed VAT Accounting system – Update from HMRC
HMRC have published an update re Postponed VAT Accounting and the statements used to support the VAT declarations.
It appears that they have been experiencing technical issues with certain monthly statements. HMRC have given the following advice:
April 2022 figures - do not use the figures taken from statements dated before 16 May 2022. Instead download a statement after 17 May 2022 and use the figures on this statement.
June 2022 figures – do not use figures taken from statements dated between 04 and 08 July 2022. Instead download a statement after 13 July 2022 and use the figures on this statement.
This information is relevant if you use the Postponed VAT Accounting system.
