In memory of David Jones

Our Partner, and colleague, David Jones passed away on Saturday 27th August and we would like to take this opportunity to remember his contribution to WR Partners over an expansive 30 year career.

David commenced his career with the Firm in July 1992, on our accounting apprenticeship programme, and his career success resulted in him becoming a Partner in April 2020.  Specialising in providing guidance to our Landed Estates clients, as a Certified Chartered Accountant and Chartered Tax Advisor, David had extensive knowledge in all accounting, taxation and trust matters. He used this expertise to support our clients, building family relationships over many years, providing practical and pragmatic advice on many business and family related matters. 

Our wider business benefited from David’s knowledge and experience as he developed many of our internal working practices and was a great advocate for personal and professional development. David personally supported our people development and positively impacted on the individual careers of many, acting as a role model and mentor to team members, both within the Rural and wider WR Partners team. 

David was a popular and sociable member of the team with a wide range of interests including sport and music.  A genuine team player and always great company, David will be very much missed as we have lost not only a colleague but a friend.

Our thoughts are with David’s family at this incredibly sad time.
