You may not know that local government do have several grants available to support businesses switch to more energy efficient power and lower their carbon output.

The Business Energy Efficiency Programme provides grants of £20,000 for items such as lighting, insulation, refrigeration, renewable technology as well as waste and water reduction to name a few. The grant is available for SMEs in the manufacturing industry in Worcestershire, Herefordshire, Telford & Wrekin and Shropshire and further information can be found by contacting the your local growth hub or visiting www.business-central.co.uk/BEEP.

The Low Carbon Opportunities Program provides grants of up to £30,000 for clean tech innovation if your SME is based in Worcestershire or Shropshire. The grant aims to help support with innovative low carbon products, processes or service development. Business that are situated in Worcestershire can also receive support with renewable energy projects.
